This week is the first of 4 consecutive weeks that I’ll be leaving my region in Utah (which is greater than the size of West Virginia) for different activities and conferences. Today, I found myself in Salt Lake City working with a group of educators and tech specialists from around the state and some very nice people from CenturyLink to give away $50,000 in grant money! I’ve done this for the past 8 years, with the exception of one year, and I love the experience.
I’ve always been one of the last readers done, but I’ve gotten a lot better over the years. I still worked through lunch reading grants (pictured below), but I actually finished 10 whole minutes before the group deadline! A first!!!
It also helps that it was a spectacular day in SLC and that we were in a vice-president’s office with a spectacular view of the Wasatch Mountains. It was a good day.
